What to expect after a chemical peel treatment

What to expect during the first few days 

  • Redness, tingling, or burning: You might experience these sensations in the first few hours after the peel.

  • Dryness, irritation, and swelling: You might experience these symptoms in the first few days after the peel.

  • Flaking or peeling: Your skin might look flaky or peel two to three days after the peel.

What to expect after a week 

  • Side effects subside: Side effects should start to subside after five to seven days.

  • New skin: You might see the formation of healthy new skin after seven to fourteen days.
